Assistant Professor
Israt Jahan Kakoly is currently serving as an assistant professor at the Institute of Health Economics. She has Bachelor and Master degrees in Economics. She joined the faculty of IHE in 2015. Before 2015, she was faculty member of the Department of Economics at Jagannath University, Stamford University Bangladesh and American International University Bangladesh. During her graduate studies (2012-2014) at Carleton University, Canada, she was teaching assistant at the Department of Economics. Israt has been teaching Microeconomics, health economics, econometrics, labor economics, statistics for economics at the undergraduate and graduate levels from the beginning of her academic career which has been started since June 2009. Israt has keen interest researching in different areas of Health Economics, Labor Economics and Microeconometrics. She is currently giving effort to invest her time in studying the determinants and status of health care expenditure and institutional delivery in case of Bangladesh, and meditation and health research. Israt has been teaching Microeconomics, health economics, econometrics, labor economics, statistics for economics at the undergraduate and graduate levels from the beginning of her academic career which has been started since June 2009. Israt has keen interest researching in different areas of Health Economics, Labor Economics and Microeconometrics. She is currently giving effort to invest her time in studying the determinants and status of health care expenditure and institutional delivery in case of Bangladesh, and meditation and health research.
