IHE was established in June 1998 with the collaborative support of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW), the University of Dhaka and the Department for International Development (DFID). The institute offers undergraduate and post-graduate degrees as well as professional training and research in Health Economics and related areas. IHE is also associated with different innovative activities for better performance of health system.
