IHE’s research covers all the issues of health economics related to the six building blocks of the health systems: service delivery; health workforce; health information systems; access to essential medicines; healthcare financing; health sector leadership and governance. Our research focuses on efficiency, equity and quality of health care; health insurance and innovative financing; impact evaluation of health interventions; epidemiological burden and financial implications of diseases; health sector reforms; economics of nutrition; economics of pharmaceutical sectors (pharmacoeconomics); health technology assessment (HTA); and health education. Other priority areas include family planning, social safety nets, food safety, and environmental health including medical waste management.
