Jani Parvin

Research Student

Jani is a graduate of the University of Jahangirnagar, where she completed her B. Sc Honors and Masters in Economics. In 2006, she also completed her Master In South Asian Studies(with Good distinction)under the Center for South Asian Studies at Lund University, Sweden. She was a research officer as a WTO project at BIDS in Bangladesh from 2003-2004. She was also a lecturer of the department of Economics at the University of Bangladesh. Now, she is serving as an Associated professor of the department of Economics at Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur. She is currently pursuing a DPhil in Health Economics as an Institute of Health Economics at University of Dhaka. Her interesting research issue is ‘’ “Social Capital, Poverty and Health: A Study on Handicrafts Workers in Bangladesh’’.
