Rafia Rahman

Assistant Professor

Rafia Rahman joined the Institute of Health Economics (IHE), University of Dhaka as a Lecturer in March 2013 and was appointed as Assistant Professor in 2016. She completed Masters in Public Health from NIPSOM in 2010 and is currently enrolled as PhD candidate in Health Economics under University of Dhaka in 2018-19session. Previously, she completed MBBS (University of Dhaka), Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced Development Planning’ (National Academy of Development and Planning) and MHE (University of Dhaka) in 2002, 2008 and 2009 respectively. At the beginning of the career she worked at different national and international NGOs in different capacities, including at research firms named Palli Shishu Foundation of Bangladesh, Engender Health Bangladesh Country Office, Social Marketing Company and Innovative Research & Consultancy Ltd as Monitoring Officer(medical), Project Coordinator, Consultant and Research Officer respectively from 2003 to 2013.
