Zobaida Ahmed Piu joined Institute of Health Economics, University of Dhaka at 2016. She completed her bachelor and masters in Health Economics from the same institution. Currently she is doing Masters by Research in Economics at Macquarie University, Australia. Teaching philosophy: As a teacher she believes in “Application Oriented Learning” philosophy. Main focus of this philosophy is to restructure course material in such a way that it contains more real-life example-oriented explanation and demonstration such that students know where and how they can apply knowledge acquired during a course.

Zobaida’s research interest is in the broad area of health economics including economic evaluation, consumers’ choice, healthcare financing.
